GRUFF'S  BRIDGE

Dawn Of Man was invited to create a large-scale interactive projection installation for the Brooklyn
Art Council's Collect DUMBO Halloween Art Crawl in DUMBO, Brooklyn. The event was curated by Artlog.com, and featured an outdoor open-studios tour of neighboring art studios, for which the immersive Archway served as the centerpiece.

Given the freedom to bring this iconic and immense location to life, Dawn Of Man honed in on a dramatic adaptation of the old tale, Three Billy Goats Gruff, giving the classic fable a modern, and slightly more sinister twist.

Using large-scale projection mapping, 3D sculpture, and a 4-channel surround sound effects track, the installation transformed the Manhattan Bridge into the fabled Goats Gruff Bridge, and the Grand Archway below into the creeping, crawling, lair of the lurking Troll. Captive goats squealed, scavenging mice scurried, and giant footsteps boomed throughout the space, as the 20' tall Troll taunted onlookers throughout the night.

Cross if you dare, the Troll will be waiting for the largest of you.
