SLS HOTEL SOUTH BEACH
With the launch of its brand new location in South Beach, Miami, the SLS Hotel wanted to host a grand opening event that was sure to be the talk of the town. Dawn Of Man tagged longtime collaborator VideoBrooklyn to illuminate the hotel with a series of four unique projection installations, that would serve to augment the fantastic Phillipe Starck signature design themes of the hotel, and would ultimately transform the event into a playful, energetic, and unforgettable immersive experience. In all, we developed content for four separate projection experiences involving a total of 10 projectors, four media servers, a "waterfall hologram screen", a cartoon character procession along a 120' wide projection surface, and an entire content production crew onsite, working to generate live action content in real time. SLS Chairman Sam Nazarian, along with collaborators Philippe Starck, José Andrés, and Lenny Kravitz, welcomed honored guests to the event throughout the evening. In his opening speech, Nazarian addressed the crowd, "How fortunate we are, to be here together at this amazing hotel with these amazing projections.
